John Boehner is calling for cuts to Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid this spring claiming these programs aren’t sustainable.

The only thing unsustainable is the parasitic greed of the corporations and a Congress complicit in supporting them. Just a few weeks ago Congress approved huge tax cuts to the wealthy, and now we have to pay for them by cutting essential social programs.

Let’s be clear, Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid are not responsible for adding money to the deficit. Corporate greed and out-of-control military spending are.

Help us get our message to Speaker Boehner about the human cost of these cuts.

To continue our “Will You Cry for Me, John Boehner?” campaign, we need your financial support. For every $30 you donate to Healthcare NOW! we will deliver a box of tissues to Speaker Boehner.

Already 423 people have submitted testimonials about how the healthcare crisis has hurt them or their families through bankruptcy, illness, and loss. We plan to deliver each story to Speaker Boehner.

Help us reach our goal of delivering one box with each testimonial.

Congress should join with the majority of people who support: taxing the rich to reduce the deficit; a national, universal, and equitable single-payer healthcare system; and strengthening Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid, not weakening them.

Join us to stop these cuts and send the message loud and clear!

Raise taxes on the rich. Let those who caused this mess pay for it. They got rich on it. The top 5 percent amassed half the wealth and stagnated the economy by hanging on to it, facilitated by bought off politicians like yourself. People are wise to you. Now you won’t even tax then on 1990s levels to solve the deficit problems and instead expect working people and seniors to pay an unfair, bloody price. NO NO NO NO! We’re on to you.. The People’s Party will sweep you out unless you listen! Hand’s off social security, medicare, medicaid and human benefits. Raise taxes on the rich to fair levels and cut bloated defense spending. The Majority speaks!!!
